RN- Essential Job Functions: • Administer services within the applicable scope of nursing practice • Determine the scope and frequency of services needed based on the acuity of the patient and the family/caregiver needs • Assess the ability of the caregiver to meet the patient's needs upon admission and throughout care • Communicate with physicians, care team, patients and family members effectively • Consult with and educate the patient and family/caregiver regarding the disease process, self-care techniques and end of life care • Requisition and arrange for diagnostic and therapeutic services, as ordered by the physician, and in accordance with established procedures • Follow drug administration protocol, to include the disposal of drugs and narcotics as required, and in accordance with established procedures • Perform charting duties as required and in accordance with established charting and documentation policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations • Review care plans to verify that appropriate care is being rendered. Communicate to the care team Education Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program Specific Requirements • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license • Must have current CPR/BLS • Minimum 1 year of Hospice experience • Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance coverage • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
