About
Exhibits a high knowledge of speech and language service techniques for students with a variety of communication-related difficulties Communicates and performs duties in a manner compliant with IDEA, Georgia state rules, Dalton Public Schools local procedures, and the Georgia State Code of Ethics Exhibits effective communication skills with other service providers (i.e., teachers, other therapists, administrators, and other school and district staff) Proficient using word processing, spreadsheets, and forms applications Exhibits consistent and effective strategies to communicate as an itinerant staff member Works with accuracy and timeliness in requested tasks and work completion Exhibits effective record-keeping/data collection skills Attends district and school meetings when scheduled Maintains in-field licensure/certification
Qualifications: To be qualified for this position the employee must possess active Georgia licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. This position is not available for individuals seeking alternative preparation for certification. Please attach a copy of your state issued teaching certificate. Work Calendar: This position works 190 days. This position is posted for the 2026-2027 school year.
