About
Conduct thorough evaluations of patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric demographics through a mix of standardized assessments and observational methods. Craft individualized treatment plans that outline both short-term objectives and long-range goals concerning communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver focused speech therapy interventions tailored towards communication, language, fluency, vocal elements, and swallowing capabilities. Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive and effective care approaches. Provide educational resources to patients and families to encourage advancement outside of clinical settings. Engage in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the patient's treatment journey. Uphold meticulous and prompt documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to continuous professional learning through ongoing educational resources and collaboration with peers in the field. Qualifications
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a clinically supervised fellowship year (CFY) for those not yet holding ASHA certification. Certifications
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification secured within 30 days of starting employment. Essential Skills
