About
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop bespoke hydraulic systems, including hydraulic power units, manifolds, valve blocks, and integrated assemblies, supporting projects through the full lifecycle from concept to final delivery. • Interpret customer specifications and operational requirements, translating them into detailed engineering designs, including 3D CAD models, technical drawings, hydraulic schematics, and Bills of Materials. • Perform engineering calculations and technical assessments to validate system performance, reliability, safety, and compliance with relevant industry standards and design-for-manufacture principles. • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, assembly, and test teams to resolve technical challenges, support project execution, and ensure successful delivery of engineered solutions. • Apply hydraulic engineering expertise and CAD design skills to drive continuous improvement initiatives, support new product development, and deliver solutions across sectors such as defence, nuclear, renewable energy, oil & gas, industrial automation, and specialist infrastructure.
Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in hydraulic system design, including power units, manifolds, valve blocks, and fluid power systems. • Strong mechanical engineering background within a manufacturing or engineering environment. • Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or equivalent. • Experience producing detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation. • Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, engineering calculations, and design validation. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
