A leading insurer is seeking a Casualty Claims Handler to manage a portfolio of liability claims, ensuring fair, efficient outcomes in line with policy and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Manage claims from notification through to settlement Assess coverage, liability, and apply negligence principles Investigate claims (reports, medical evidence, witnesses, experts) Set reserves, control costs, and process payments Liaise with brokers, policyholders, solicitors, and third parties Negotiate settlements and manage external partners Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance Claims Exposure Public, Employers & Product Liability Property damage and bodily injury Skills & Experience Experience in casualty/liability claims handling Strong understanding of liability law and policy wordings Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple claims effectively Requirements Claims handling experience within insurance Familiarity with claims systems and Microsoft Office Insurance qualification (APA/CIP) desirable
