As a Golf Cart Driver or Mini Bus & Car Driver, you’ll play an essential role in the lives of seniors by providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation to and from their apartments.
Your Role:
As the Driver, you are responsible for transporting residents to and from activities, appointments, and community outings while delivering exceptional service. You help ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout each trip.
Position Highlights:
- Status: Part Time
- Schedule: Afternoons/Evenings/Days/Weekends/Holiday/Flexible
- Location: 12951 W. Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33626
- Rate of Pay: $15.00 Golf Cart or CDL Driver $16.50
What You’ll Do:
- Provide timely, safe, and courteous transportation for residents to and from the clubhouse.
- Assist residents, including those with mobility challenges, into and out of the golf cart safely.
- Secure mobility devices using appropriate restraint systems during transport.
- Safely operate radios to report delays or service disruptions.
- Maintain community vehicles in clean, safe, and good operating condition.
- Plug in to charger as needed to service the golf cart.
- Comply with all safety procedures, transportation policies, and applicable regulations.
- Provide miscellaneous pick-up and delivery services as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to meet applicable transportation and safety requirements.
- Previous experience in a customer service or transportation role preferred; senior living experience a plus.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Ability to operate secure wheelchairs and mobility devices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining communication with leadership and team members.
- Ability to assist residents with mobility devices.
- Ability to lift or support wheelchairs and mobility aids.
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and emergency situations.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules tied to resident activities.
- Meets any federal, state, or local requirements applicable to transportation roles, as required by the community.
