BMS Applications Engineer Location: London – Hybrid (80% Remote / 20% On-Site) Salary: £48,000 + 16% Annual Bonus + Optional Weekend Overtime
We are looking for an experienced BMS Applications Engineer to join our growing engineering team in London, delivering projects on a global scale for large enterprise clients using industry-leading technologies and processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled engineer with strong Building Management Systems experience who enjoys working across programming, commissioning, integration, and customer support in a highly collaborative environment.
The Role The purpose of this position is to carry out Master Systems Integration of Building Management Systems (BMS), build control databases, engineer user interfaces, and configure control systems based on project specifications and sales proposals.
You will provide both remote and on-site technical support to installers and customers, perform system commissioning and startup activities, and support the remote installation of software and control programs.
Key Responsibilities Create programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details, and project specifications Program control applications using a variety of software tools supporting: Operator workstations DDC field panels Third-party integration devices across multiple communication protocols Carry out system checkout, commissioning, and testing to ensure systems operate according to specifications and design documentation Develop and engineer graphical user interfaces (GUIs) Act as a technical liaison between clients, owners, and construction managers Deliver on-site operator training for installed systems Perform system diagnostics and corrective actions to restore operational performance Coordinate system installation activities with contractors on-site Complete final project walkthroughs and ensure punch-list items are closed out Deliver projects on schedule and within budget Identify new business opportunities and remain informed on industry developments and technologiesSkills & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in HVAC, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience Minimum 3 years’ experience within the BMS industry Strong HVAC and BMS knowledge BMS commissioning experience BMS programming and user interface engineering experience Experience with analytics platforms and reporting tools Experience with Tridium NiagaraWhat’s On Offer Competitive salary of £48,000 16% annual bonus, paid every April New starters will receive a pro-rata bonus up to March 2027 Flexible hybrid working model: 80% remote 20% on-site/client visits Optional weekend overtime rota available on a first-come, first-served basis: Saturdays paid at 1.5x Sundays paid at 2x Up to 8 hours available each day Opportunity to work on large-scale global enterprise projects Exposure to industry-leading technologies and innovative engineering solutionsIf you are a motivated BMS professional looking to work on complex and rewarding projects within a flexible hybrid environment, we would love to hear from you
