Seeking a fully remote Senior Azure Data Engineer, this position will design, build, and support a next-generation enterprise data platform on Microsoft Azure, focusing on developing scalable data pipelines and data products for analytics and operational reporting. Key responsibilities
Design and develop reusable ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric Data Factory Implement dimensional data models and optimize SQL workloads in Azure Synapse and Fabric environments Lead cloud modernization initiatives, including migrations from on-premises data solutions to Azure platforms
Required qualifications
Deep hands-on expertise with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks, including PySpark Production experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Microsoft Fabric Strong understanding of Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and associated security and governance practices Advanced SQL skills for query optimization and performance tuning Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks, including REST API integration and unit testing
