Owning the delivery of significant features and systems, the full-time remote Staff Backend Developer will design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines while driving technical quality and engineering standards across a core product area. Key responsibilities
Lead the design and delivery of critical product components, ensuring measurable improvements in system quality and scalability Drive system design decisions, balancing scalability, performance, reliability, and cost while mentoring engineers through design and code reviews Define and automate quality metrics, testing strategies, and operational readiness processes to enhance system performance and reliability
Required qualifications
6+ years of overall experience in software engineering with 3+ years in building and shipping production systems Hands-on coding experience in Python and/or TypeScript, with strong system design skills Experience designing and scaling distributed systems in production environments Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD, and automated testing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
