The Control Room Operator (CRO) provides input to optimize production systems by managing process upsets and collects long-term performance data. Monitoring well performance, the CRO recommends flow changes to optimize production volumes while performing trend analysis and ensuring documentation/procedures are current and accurate. The CRO is accountable for optimizing and monitoring the process equipment and stability systems; This is done through field operations or control room interface systems for desired pressure, temperature, levels, FPU stability and tracking efficiency.
Key Accountabilities:
Day to day management of operational priorities and maintaining integrity of the facilities and production optimization.
Operate, supervise, and adjust production well fluid flow and pressures, fluid separation vessels, produced water handling facilities, crude oil to export and gas compression and the treatment and distribution equipment and process (inclusive of process support systems such as instrument air, chemicals, heating and seawater)
Report potential process safety and operational optimization issues to the appropriate level.
Complete operation routines as defined by planned schedules and procedures.
Ensure all data relating to topside/subsea equipment, including defects, is recorded and reported.
Supervise the preparation and status of isolations conducted and permits issued in compliance with CoW procedures.
Supervise and record all key operational parameters and report any anomalies in a timely manner, with particular attention to subsea equipment, flow rates, chemical pumps, MeOH systems, vessels, stability systems etc.
Support maintenance and testing of all subsea and topsides equipment as needed, such as wellheads, safety valves, vessel end devises, pig launchers, receivers, etc.
Participate in emergency response exercises.
Ensure ad-hoc vendors & visitors adhere to safety standards through CoW procedures.
Monitor, track supply levels of production chemicals, critical spares, and materials reordering to maintain supply.
Ensure shift and crew-change handovers are accurately recorded in the appropriate log and in compliance with the Guidance on Shift Handovers
Follow Guidance on Certification, as the need arises, for all maintenance work prior to operation.
Provide Production input to projects and turnaround (TAR) preparation as the need arises.
Kaskida CRO’s will be responsible for BCO and Marine activities from the Control Room.
The CRO will also be responsible for collision avoidance, monitor vessels in field, and manage vessels inside and traversing the Kaskida 500 m zone.
Monitor draft & inclination, adjusting the FPU’s ballast as required to remain within MOM Safe Operating Limits.
Requirements:
Experience in oil and gas production operations.
Experience working offshore, preferred
Advanced knowledge of pumps, compressors, control systems, chemical and corrosion mitigation systems.
Knowledge of Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSSEE) and USCG regulations and experience in working with their inspectors.
Experienced in simultaneous operations involving production and construction activities.
Advanced knowledge of P&IDs, C&E Chart, Safety Flow Diagram, Safe Chart, and SOPs
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in Subsea and Topsides operations.
Work Conditions, Travel & Schedule Requirements
Comfortable working at heights, including on elevated platforms, grating, and stair systems.
Willing and able to travel offshore, including extended transport via helicopter or boat, and personnel transfers using crane-assisted baskets.
Valid passport required or ability to obtain one for international travel.
Ability to travel weekly to and from Houston.
Flexible to work in both office and offshore environments, including project-based schedules.
Willingness and ability to serve on an emergency response team.
Comfortable working in confined or restricted spaces.
Must successfully complete a fitness-for-duty assessment.
Work Schedule by Project Phase
Early Execution Phase: Hybrid schedule (5 days per week) with at least 3 days in the Houston office.
Commissioning Phase: International rotational assignment (anticipated 28 days on / 28 days off).
Startup Phase: Offshore rotation of 21 days on / 21 days off, working 12-hour shifts in the Gulf of Mexico.
