Senior Virtualisation Specialist Dublin 8 based Hybrid contract Mandatory requirement: It is a mandatory requirement that you have the equivalent of Senior level experience (i.e. has7+ yearsexperience) in a similar role. It is a mandatory requirement, that you hold the following qualifications or equivalents: VCP or VCAP in Datacentre Virtualisation MCSE Microsoft Professional Certification or equivalent MS approved certification in Server Administration Experience, Competencies & Skillsets: Designing, administering, and maintainingdata centre infrastructurewith hands-on production administration oflarge virtual system environments using VMware vSphere and vCentre. This includes upgrading to newer versions and patch management. You must demonstrate their experience in the following; Working withvCenter and ESXi Provisioning ofLUNs and volumes PowerShell and CLI Distributed Switches Provisioningvirtual machines and automationof same Snapshots/cloning/instant clone Capacity and PerformanceManagement Troubleshooting Windows Server Administration on currentWindows OS versions . This includes troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Linux Server Administrationon one or more enterprise Linux platforms (Redhat, Ubuntu). This includes troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Experience working with the following technologies. vRealize operations vRealize log insight vRealize network insight NSX-T Kubernetesclusters Omnissa Horizon Terraform Ansible Key Deliverables: To work with departments technical and functional staff to analyse requirements and develop enhancements to the Hosting environment. Provisioning of virtual/physical servers required for the operation of specific IT Systems Planning and supporting IT Projects To ensure the ongoing stability and overall health of the server hosting environment, including the physical hardware, virtualisation and OS layers. Evaluate and apply any necessary security patches, hotfixes, service packs and hardware updates. Supporting and configurating VMware VM Servers Building and managing 3rd party management platforms for Kubernetes clusters. Significant experience in working with the following VMware technologies VMware vCentre vSphere vRealize operations vRealize log insight vRealize network insight NSX-T Omnissa Horizon Server administration on the following OS's Windows server and 2022 Linux/Unix Experience working with Terraform and Ansible Incident analysis and resolution. Developing custom reports as required. Resource and Capacity Planning. Documentation of critical tasks. Operating within an ITIL environment.
