SYSTEMTEC is seeking a Cisco Network Engineer for an on-site opportunity in Blythewood, SC. Candidate will serve as a senior-level Network Infrastructure Consultant supporting a complex enterprise environment and acting as a key technical resource for network operations. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining secure, high-performing network systems while troubleshooting advanced infrastructure issues and supporting statewide operational connectivity. Required Qualifications for the Cisco Network Engineer:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies. 10+ years of experience supporting Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches in enterprise environments. 10+ years of experience with Cisco VPN technologies and overall Cisco network administration. 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Palo Alto firewalls. 2+ years of experience supporting Palo Alto XDR solutions. Strong troubleshooting experience with routing, switching, and voice-integrated infrastructure. Ability to support multiple technical priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Valid driver's license required with willingness to travel to regional office locations during work hours. Availability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support during outages or critical incidents. Candidates must reside in SC, NC, or GA and be willing to relocate within commuting distance of Blythewood, SC prior to start date. Preferred Skills/Experience of the Cisco Network Engineer:
Experience with enterprise monitoring, tracing, and network analysis tools. Strong background in core network architecture and infrastructure design. Experience supporting wireless network environments. Familiarity with hybrid cloud infrastructure technologies. Experience with technologies such as Meraki, Fortinet/FortiGate, Citrix NetScaler, and Trellix. Industry certifications such as CCNA and/or CCNP preferred. Responsibilities of the Cisco Network Engineer:
Configure, maintain, upgrade, and support enterprise network infrastructure and security technologies. Monitor network performance and proactively address connectivity or operational issues. Troubleshoot complex network failures involving routing, switching, VPNs, and firewall technologies. Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation. Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives and implement infrastructure updates as needed. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues, share knowledge, and improve operational efficiency. Work Location: Fully onsite in Blythewood, South Carolina. This position requires local travel to regional office locations during business hours using a company-provided vehicle.
