Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Perform risk assessments of medication-related matters, and provide pharmacy-related knowledge and support to clinicians and appropriate.
-Makes recommendations to the managers regarding any changes to improve operating procedures, or to improve and facilitate safe medication practices.
-Assist managers and supervisors on plans after audit results, identifying opportunities for process improvement efforts, facility changes, or additional employee education.
-Work close with vendors to conduct monthly onsite monitoring, biannual room and equipment certification, review invoices for appropriate services, and address inconsistencies.
-Audit medication storage areas utilizing data collection tools, participation on inter-disciplinary tracers and surveillance rounds, as well as briefing area leadership with opportunities for improvement in accordance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and state and federal regulations Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required and Associate's Degree Related Field of Study preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
