Conducting thorough assessments of patients, ordering necessary tests, and crafting personalized care strategies Diagnosing and addressing acute, chronic, or episodic health issues collaboratively with physicians or independently (as credentialing permits) Guiding patients and families on health promotion, prevention practices, and chronic disease management Prescribing medications and therapies that align with your scope of practice Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management Working in concert with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care Maintaining accurate and detailed records in electronic medical record systems (EMR) Education Requirements
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Required Certifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Nebraska National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) What Sets You Apart
