Position Overview The Sales Porter supports the dealership’s Sales Department by managing vehicle flow, maintaining inventory presentation, and assisting with customer-facing vehicle coordination. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Vehicle Preparation:
Clean, fuel, and stage vehicles to ensure they are ready for display, customer viewings, and test drives.
Guest Support:
Assist customers with vehicle pick-ups, deliveries, and general, non-sales inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
Lot Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales lot to support safety and presentation standards.
Team Support:
Safely move vehicles for test drives, sales staging, and deliveries, as assigned.
Inventory Check-Ins:
Receive and inspect incoming inventory, noting visible damage and confirming vehicles meet dealership standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform other job-related duties consistent with the Sales Porter role in support of dealership operations, as assigned by management.
RequirementsDriving
Assignments Only
Valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to safely operate automatic vehicles (manual transmission preferred but not required)
Driving responsibilities are assigned based on role level and operational needs
General Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and dealership staff
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to perform repetitive motions related to vehicle movement and preparation
