Overview: We are seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to support our Ames office. This position plays an important role in ensuring the office operates efficiently while providing professional, courteous service to clients, visitors, and team members.
This temporary position will provide front desk support and assist with a variety of administrative and office operations tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include: * Projecting a professional and friendly image by providing efficient, courteous service to clients and visitors, both in person and by telephone * Performing general office duties such as making deliveries, running errands, and maintaining office supplies and equipment * Opening the office, unlocking doors, and preparing the reception area for the day; assisting with office closing procedures * Providing general office administration support * Providing administrative support to legal administrative assistants (LAAs) and attorneys as needed * Performing other job-related duties and special projects as required
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have: Candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional office environment. * High school diploma required * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with desktop technologies * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills * Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills * Client-service orientation and professional demeanor * Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Other Role Information: * Standard work hours are Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. * We anticipate this temporary position will last approximately 4 to 6 weeks, with the possibility of extension. * Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is required.
Benefits: This is a temporary position and is not eligible for benefits.
The estimated starting pay range is $19-$25/hour. The compensation offered will be dependent on the candidates experience, skills, education, professional background, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
