As the Account Manager Chinese OEM (m/w/d), you will be responsible for the sales and profit target achievement, recommend appropriate product and solution to customer, and implement company strategy and grow our business in EMEA with the Chinese OEMs.
You will report to the Account Director based in EMEA.
The position can be located in Germany (Klingenberg, Hilden, Weingarten, Korntal-Münchingen), UK (Stowmarket) or Italy (Quattordio).
Key Responsibilities
- Take full accountability for account growth performance, including revenue and profitability targets.
- Responsible for commercial activity and sales of key accounts in assigned area.
- Promote new product and technology to customer.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and account receiving, convert conflict to win-win.
- Manager effective demand forecast and ensure on time delivery.
- Coordinate team work to address critical issues among production, QC, supply chain, technical, financial and customer.
- Develop and implement comprehensive account strategies, establishing a profitable sales pipeline encompassing all PPG products.
- Manage the sales pipeline through to commercialization, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
- Work cross-functionally with supply chain, manufacturing, technical, and product management teams to provide comprehensive support to customers.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Account Management, preferably within automotive, surface coatings, wheels, or decorative and functional parts industries.
- Experience negotiating effectively at all organizational levels, from operational staff to directors, and to build lasting customer relationships.
- Strong business and commercial skills with a focus on value selling.
- Excellent presentation and influencing skills, able to drive change both internally and externally.
- Technical proficiency or strong interest in technical solution selling.
- Ability to work autonomously and mobilize cross-functional teams.
- 3+ years of experience working with diverse cultures and educational backgrounds.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is necessary.
- Willingness to travel across Europe and China (30–40%).
