This company is expanding their team and hiring a Commercial Manager to join their business.
They are delivering some of the UK's most exciting Hydrogen, Battery Storage and Pumped Hydro Energy Storage projects.
About the RoleYou will manage all pre and post-contract commercial aspects of nominated projects within the company portfolio.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the commercial function within the project environment.
- Produce accurate monthly commercial reports for the board / senior management.
- Advise on commercial risk profile.
- Develop commercial risk strategies and risk allocation planning.
- Develop procurement plans and contracting strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with the supply chain.
- Oversight of client accounts, claims and forecasts for each project.
- Manage financial aspects and impacts of contract.
- Determine and summarise the commercial status of a tender or contract.
- Liaise with Project Managers to manage technical, programme and commercial interfaces.
- BSc in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or other construction related subjects.
- RICS or CIOB qualification ideal.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience with NEC3 / NEC4 Contract type essential.
- CEMAR contract management tool experience beneficial.
- Energy Sector experience a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrable experience in developing, negotiating and closing contracts in excess of £100m.
