As an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work alongside consultants to provide pre- and post-operative consultations, assessing patient suitability for treatment.

• Carry out examinations associated with cataract surgery
• Run acute and follow-up clinics postsurgery, documenting findings in electronic medical record systems
• Provide health advice and support to patients
• Offer first-line clinical advice and refer patients to medical practitioners if necessary
• Ensure awareness of equipment uses, safety precautions, and handling within the clinical competency framework
• Stay updated on CQC policies and attend mandatory courses

• Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist
• Extensive experience working as an optometrist in refractive, high street, or hospital environments
• Experience using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
• Experience working towards conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision Correction
