IT Project Manager Contractor – Supply Chain Automation & Logistics

Location: Remote with occasional trips to South Wales and Europe site (expenses covered)

Exclusive with IntaPeople  

Contract Duration: Mid-March start to December 2025 intiially (likely extended to December 2026)

Rate: £550-£575 p/day (Outside IR35) 

Hours: Approximately 37 hours per week

Travel: 1 week on European site initially for scoping, testing, and stakeholder meetings, introdustions etc. with approx 1-2 days p/month in South Wales or Europe as required

Key experience: A proven track record in IT project management within Supply Chain Automation/Integration, Logistics, or large-scale SAP & Infrastructure projects. This background will be helpful due to the complex nature of the project, it would be too much to learn totally on the job. 

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead a critical project aimed at automating and optimising logistics at a European factory. You’ll drive new IT initiatives, manage a £1.8 million-euro project, and ensure smooth collaboration between internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the IT project from planning through to delivery.

• Define and execute IT deliverables for warehouse automation and the deployment of automated guided vehicles.

• Monitor project scope, timeline, budget, and risks, providing regular updates to senior management and the project board.

• Collaborate with teams across operations, R&D, technology, and digital, as well as managing external partner relationships.

• Oversee contract elements, including preparing statements of work and ensuring alignment with business needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• A proven track record in IT project management within Supply Chain Automation/Integration, Logistics, or large-scale SAP projects.

• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.

• Strong command of written and spoken English at a negotiation level.
