Border Security Specialist

The role of Border Patrol Agent involves safeguarding our borders, preventing illicit activities and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

• Conduct surveillance to detect individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspect documents to verify citizenship or potential violations.
• Monitor borders to prevent alien smuggling by utilizing covert positions including infrared scopes during night operations. Additional responsibilities include questioning people suspected of customs law violations, performing inspections on vehicles and luggage for prohibited items, maintaining communication with colleagues regarding security concerns as well as apprehending violators through effective pursuit strategies.
