Status: Full-time, Ongoing

Salary Range: $50, $60,000.00 per year

Location: Hybrid (RHF Offices in Richmond, BC or Toronto, ON) or Remote

JOB SUMMARY

The Membership & Events Coordinator, Accessibility Certification (AC) is responsible for providing administration and coordination services to support engagement activities with RHFAC Professionals and the Accessibility Professional Network (APN).

Duties include membership management and coordinating events, such as the APN webinars, and APN conference to support the professional growth of RHFAC Professionals and the APN membership.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The Membership & Events Coordinator, AC reports to the Technical Manager and works closely with the RHFAC Team, RHF Marketing & Communications team, and other RHF staff. The Membership & Events Coordinator maintains several external relationships with professional bodies and associations, vendors, consultants, clients, and members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Membership Management

  • Monitors and verifies requirements are met to achieve and maintain RHFAC Professionals designation.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for membership and APN conference-related inquiries and support requests.
  • Maintains accurate membership records, mailing lists and other activities.
  • Communicates program updates, renewal reminders, and relevant information (i.e., membership status, CEU status, standing, etc.).
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to retain current members and RHFAC Professionals and recruit new APN members.
  • Tracks and documents the experiences, engagement levels, and concerns of RHFAC Professionals/APN members, and proposes solutions to support retention and improvement.
  • Tracks APN membership and webinar revenue.
  • Manages the APN platform, including job board, discussion forums, resource library, and technical issues.
  • Stays abreast of changes to the APN membership platform (Fonteva) and APN Webinar platform (InEvent);  
  • Coordinates with RHF's Finance team to track APN membership revenue;  

Event Coordination 

  • Coordinates and promotes events, webinars, and networking opportunities to encourage ongoing learning and connection among members.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the annual APN conference planning and execution.

Operations 

  • Contributes to the implementation of annual operations plan, data management strategies, outcomes reporting, and standard operating procedures.
  • Contributes to identifying efficiencies to maximize workflows and developing/updating standard operating procedures.
  • Contributes to the evaluation processes to identify areas of improvement / enhancement based on input and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Supports the RHFAC team, as required.

General

  • Maintains and applies current knowledge of relevant standards and practices related to key accountabilities.   
  • Performs other related duties in keeping with the purpose and accountabilities of the job. 

QUALIFICATIONS

An equivalent combination of education, experience and skills/behaviours will be considered.

Education: 

  • University degree, Diploma or Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution in business, communications or marketing.

Certification/Designation: 

  • Completed RHFAC Training course(s) is an asset.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in a related field.
  • Strong experience providing timely and quality customer service.
  • Experience in association management, program delivery, and/or event management preferred.
  • Experience in accessible customer service and event logistics, including communication with customers who require various forms of accommodation.
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with partners, vendors and consultants.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a solid understanding of project performance indicators to inform decision-making.
  • Computer experience required. High proficiency using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other MS Apps. Experience with MS Copilot is an asset. 
  • Experience with Salesforce, Fonteva or other customer relationship management and membership software.
  • Experience working with privacy legislation and data stewardship.
  • Knowledge of records management.
  • Experience delivering events via InEvent, Zoom Webinar, or other virtual event platforms.
  • Experience supporting in-person or hybrid conferences.
  • Comfort working with financial data in coordination with finance teams.
  • Experience documenting workflows and SOPs.
  • Knowledge or experience working with individuals with disabilities an asset.
  • Fluency in French, oral and written, preferred.
