This is a structured, rulebook-driven production requiring cinematic pacing, motion graphics, data visualization, cultural fluency, licensing compliance, and precision execution.
If you do not enjoy detail, discipline, and high editorial standards, this role will not be a fit.

Our founder, Deepak Shukla, is an ex-Deloitte consultant and 3× TEDx speaker known for building scalable systems and performance-driven teams. This project is part of a long-term structured content expansion initiative.
Project Scope
You will produce a fully polished 15–25 minute documentary episode from script to final master export.
Deliverables must include:
- 4K Master Export (3840×2160, H.264 High L5.2, VBR 40–60 Mbps)
- Accurate SRT file (UTF-8)
- Clean transcript (TXT/DOC)
- Organized Premiere/AE project files
- Full Usage Log (all third-party assets documented)
- Stock license documentation (Artlist or equivalent)
All third-party clips must be transformed for fair use (voiceover, graphics, comparison framing, etc.). No raw clip dumping.
Editorial & Production Standards
This project follows a detailed Editor Handbook that covers:
-Front-loaded, high-impact introductions (first 30–45 seconds must feel premium)
-Mute-proof storytelling (visuals must communicate the topic even without sound)
- Meaningful visual change every 3–7 seconds
- Strict B-roll border treatment + APA citation rules
- Animated data visualizations with source citations + SFX
- Structured act/chapter transitions with music shifts
- Controlled use of lens flares and transitions (subtle, premium feel only)
- Strict audio standards (–14 LUFS Integrated, –1 dBTP)
- Rec.709 color compliance
- No repeated footage within a single video
- No static stills without motion treatment
- AI visuals must look natural (no distorted faces)
The full handbook will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
Cultural Requirement (Important)
You must clearly understand the distinction between East Asia (e.g., China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan) and South Asia (e.g., India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka).
This includes:
- Accurate B-roll casting
- Correct flags, maps, and historical references
- Avoidance of stereotypes or cultural clichés
- Proper contextual labeling (city, era, event)
- Cultural fluency and sensitivity are mandatory. Inaccurate regional representation will not be accepted.
Core Responsibilities
- Transform research scripts into structured, high-retention documentaries
- Develop motion graphics and animated data visualizations
- Integrate AI-generated visuals when appropriate (high quality only)
- Apply structured typography and brand color standards
- Maintain strong pacing and pattern interrupts
- Implement sound design and SFX for transitions and data
- Follow file naming and organizational standards
- Deliver within structured milestone timelines (7–14 days)
Mandatory Requirements
- 2+ years professional video editing experience
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Strong portfolio demonstrating long-form documentary content
- Proven motion graphics and data visualization ability
- Experience generating accurate SRT subtitle files
- Strong understanding of stock licensing compliance (Artlist or similar)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and responsiveness

Timeline & Milestones
Typical delivery cycle (7–14 days):
- Day 2: Rough Assembly (narrative locked)
- Day 7: Visual Pass (B-roll, motion graphics, first mix)
- Day 10–12: Revisions
- Day 14: Final delivery (Master + SRT + Transcript + Usage Log + Licenses)

Answer the following screening question:
Briefly explain the difference between East Asia and South Asia, and how you ensure cultural accuracy when editing region-specific documentaries.
Shortlisted candidates will receive the full Editor Handbook and will be required to submit a minimum 5-minute Loom video explaining:
- Your workflow for long-form documentaries
- How you approach motion graphics and data visualization
- How you manage licensing and usage logs
Applications without strong portfolio samples or Loom video will not be considered.
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
