This role involves working as a law enforcement officer to safeguard the American people by protecting our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing national economic prosperity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Investigate and detain individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
- Maintain surveillance from covert positions during night operations
- Track and follow physical evidence of illegal entry or contraband
Payscale varies per grade level for newly appointed BPAs. GL-5/GL-7 $49,739 - $89,518 yearly with additional 25% base pay eligible post BPA Pay Reform Act (2014).
This is a career ladder position moving through grades at progression: GL-5/7/9/GS11/GS12.
