Our brand marketer will be defining the website's visual design, layout, and UX. This role is focused on execution and build, not creative concepting.
This is an ideal role for a developer who enjoys working from clear direction and bringing polished designs to life with care and precision.
What We're Building
- Shopify site (OS 2.0)
- US-only at launch
- Small, intentional assortment (10 styles, 7 prints, 4 sizes)
- Brand-first experience with a "shop with confidence" philosophy
- Editorial, calm, coastal-romantic aesthetic (California coast with a touch of Europe)
Responsibilities:
- Build and implement the website in Shopify (OS 2.0)
- Translate provided designs, layouts, and UX guidance into a clean, functional site
- Customize Shopify theme sections as needed (without overengineering)
- Ensure product pages support clear, honest product presentation
- Optimize for mobile-first responsiveness
- Implement navigation, collections, PDPs, cart, and checkout per spec
- QA across devices and browsers
- Collaborate closely with founders and brand marketer throughout the build
What this is not:
- A design or branding role
- A blank-slate creative project
- A high-SKU or marketplace-style build
- A CRO-heavy, pop-up-driven site
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Web Design, Brand-led, editorial design sensibility, Strong product presentation and visual clarity, Mobile-first UX design with excellent typography and spacing, Experience collaborating closely with brand marketing and founders
