Your role
Our Inhouse Bank serves as the financing entity for our Group and consists of several legal entities. We ensure external and provide internal financing, manage liquidity risks, ensure a high-quality financial risk management and run the payment factory for Group, to mention a few. To do so, we are supported by a state-of-the-art Treasury Management System. The Accounting of the Inhouse Bank builds another backbone to ensure a solid financial reporting on which internal & external stakeholders must rely on and which serves as underlying data for various decisions. The Backoffice ensures an independent control via the segregation of duties in our financial dealing processes and serves to cover regulatory requirements.
- Lead the Inhouse Bank Accounting & Backoffice team (3 Direct Reports)
- Responsibility for posting of all transactions in the Inhouse Bank and for the accounting of financial instruments according to IFRS and local GAAP
- Ensure the monthly financial reporting packages in high quality & in time
- Prepare the Inhouse Bank Half Year and Year End Financial Statements under Local GAAP (mainly HGB) including audits
- Support the Group audit under IFRS
- Setup appropriate accounting rules for new financial instruments
- Drive the development of functionalities, automation & digitalization with regards to Accounting in our Treasury Management System
- Closely collaborate with our main stakeholders Group Financial Reporting & Group Tax to ensure alignment in strategic directions
Who you are
- Degree in Business Administration/Finance
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Finance Operations in a matrix organization
- Understanding of Accounting to Closing processes including Tax is strongly mandatory
- Deep Experience in Accounting and drawing up balance sheets especially for financial transactions according to HGB and IFRS is a must
- Very good technical understanding and excellent skills in SAP, Quantum is beneficial
- Basic Treasury knowledge and experience in Payment Factories, Financing & Derivatives
- Certified Management Accountant is helpful
- Accomplished in financial analytics, good communication skills. Ability to interact and collaborate with all levels and teams in the organization
- Hands-on, proactive self-starter, strong resilience
- Fluent German & English
