ETC Service Business Unit (SBU) FSO Focal Director Description This leadership role oversees all aspects of service operations for the Etch and SRP Service Business Unit supporting the aftermarket business for Applied Materials' product group. The leader engages cross-functionally to deliver world-class services to our semiconductor industry customers. This is an entrepreneurial, high-growth business opportunity within the Applied Global Services Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Manage operations performance of the ETCH/SRP SBU including service product qualification, parts quality, I&W, cost metrics/KPI tracking, delivery, and continuous improvement.
Own and manage service quality to meet operating plan commitments and drive continuous improvement strategies (contract execution, NCs, etc.).
Partner with service product management, the product business, and other functions to develop supporting operations and supply chain strategies (S&OP) and operating plans.
Oversee cost of goods sold to meet operating plans and implement continuous improvement strategies (Quality, Productivity, Cost Avoidance, Volume Leverage, etc.).
Support development of business requirements and enterprise system improvements (QMS, OTC, MES, etc.).
Manage and develop vendor ecosystems for refurbishment and kit clean programs.
Influence and coordinate across functions and partners to meet KPIs supporting operational goals.
Build strong teams and foster cross-functional engagement across geographies and external partners.
Communicate operations and supply chain progress to senior executives and stakeholders.
Desired Skills, Competencies & Experience
Technical degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in component or film-based operations servicing semiconductor markets.
Proactive leadership style, capable of managing through ambiguity.
Strong operations background with a proven performance record; productivity leadership is a plus.
Engineering background (industrial engineering preferred), with quality systems, program management (PMI, Lean, Six Sigma).
Customer-focused with strong business acumen and engineering experience.
Respected technical and operations leader.
Experience with manufacturing or production line processes.
Hands-on entrepreneurial attitude supporting operational needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, confident and humble.
Experience delivering senior executive presentations.
Ability to manage multiple KPIs effectively.
Critical thinking and influencing skills for internal stakeholders across engineering, finance, quality, strategy, and management.
Strong time and project management skills.
Interpersonal Skills
Negotiates, influences, and collaborates effectively with senior executives and customer organizations, demonstrating sensitivity to the audience.
