The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) team plays a pivotal role in Affirm’s mission to build direct, lasting relationships with our customers. Our App and Card experiences empower people with modern, transparent ways to pay and manage their finances—building trust and confidence along the way.

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll join a deeply experienced and committed team to shape these end-to-end journeys, raise the bar for clarity, quality, and delight, and redefine how people interact with their money.
What You’ll Do- Own and drive design initiatives for embedded financial experiences, delivering high-impact, customer-centric solutions that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, marketing, and external partners to drive innovation and deliver seamless, intuitive experiences.
- Embrace agility—iterating quickly, adapting to change, and making data-driven decisions while maintaining a strong vision for the future.
- Shape frameworks and ways of working that empower teams to move faster and make great decisions.
- Balance shipping now with scaling for the future, ensuring coherence across platforms.
- Push the envelope—challenge the status quo, think outside the box, and take calculated risks to drive meaningful innovation in financial products.
- Bring exceptional visual and interaction design skills to craft delightful, polished experiences that build trust and confidence.
- Champion a test-and-learn mindset, leveraging experimentation, research, and analytics to continuously refine and optimize user experiences.
- Exceptional Craft & Visual Skills: You have a keen eye for detail, design systems, and interaction patterns that elevate user experiences.
- Strong Product Sense: You deeply understand user needs, business goals, and technical constraints—and can balance them effectively in your design decisions.
- Strategic Influencer: You’ve shaped direction across multiple product areas and can partner with senior leaders to align on big bets.
- Systems Thinker: You create frameworks, systems, and ways of working that scale design impact across teams.
- Mentor & Multiplier: You coach senior designers, foster leadership skills, and raise the design bar across the org.

- Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, G Suite, Notion).
- This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of product design experience.
Pay Grade - N
Equity Grade - 7
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). CAN base pay range per year: $150,000 - $200,000.
Affirm is remote-first. Most roles are remote and can be worked from anywhere within the country of employment. Some roles may require occasional office work.
