Examining patients to expertly diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries. Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, and surgical interventions when necessary. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions through injections, electrodiagnostic, and other therapeutic interventions. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients about their conditions and the rehabilitation process. Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited medical program with an M.D. or D.O. degree and an unrestricted California medical license Must meet all licensure requirements for the applicable state of practice Board certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Active DEA registration required Current BLS and AED certification required; ACLS certification preferred Current medical malpractice insurance coverage Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software. Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Background in occupational medicine, orthopedics, or outpatient setting is preferred.
