Position Overview:We're seeking a Principal Communication Systems Engineer who is passionate about developing leading-edge phased array antennas and radios for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems in a start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Define requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
- Support proposal reviews and lead trade studies to optimize system architecture.
- Develop space system requirements and interfaces.
- Lead the development of space architecture concepts, sub-system design, payload design, and risk reduction.
- Conduct analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, and other quality factors to ensure mission success.
- Develop system engineering processes for requirements management and traceability.
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 9+ years of experience in space communications.
- Strong background in communication theory and RF concepts.
- Experience with FPGA, modern vector processing engines, and satellite-communications standards.
- Proficiency in Python and C++.
- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Ability to manage large projects and work well under pressure.
- Strong team collaboration skills.
