Electrical Design Engineer
Contract Role - 12 Months, Negotiable DOE, Hybrid Work Option: 2 days on-site per week in Aldermaston. SC/DV Clearance Mandatory.
The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to work with a world-leading nuclear defence client.
- Deliver high-standard electrical and control instrumentation designs that meet defined requirements across the full engineering lifecycle.
- Maintain design intent throughout the lifecycle by liaising with other discipline areas to ensure overall design intent is upheld.
- Ensure compliance with ESH&Q and statutory requirements.
- Apply engineering best practice and proportionate standards.
- Elevate areas of concern to the Principal Engineer.
Requirements:
- ONC/OND or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
- Knowledge of legislation and standards associated with nuclear and/or high-hazard facilities.
- Experience in producing control and instrumentation designs within a multi-discipline team.
- History of working in highly regulated environments (preferably nuclear and/or explosives).

Key Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing control and instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with nuclear and/or high-hazard facility regulations and standards.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
