About

Are you a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and prioritizes safety?

You will have experience managing construction projects from planning to execution, overseeing installations, and coordinating with contractors, clients, and the company.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager to lead a dynamic team and report directly to the Project Director. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling, workface planning, coordination, supervision, cost control, and ensuring the safety and productivity of your teams on-site.

Your Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safety:
    • Promote and ensure a culture of safety on-site, understanding legal responsibilities and Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
    • Coordinate and facilitate safety training for teams, leading toolbox meetings, and completing hazard assessments.
    • Address any safety issues promptly and participate in safety incident investigations.
  • Leadership and Supervision:
    • Effectively coordinate teams and ensure adherence to company and project policies and procedures, organizing manpower, and assessing team competency and capability.
    • Assign tasks, set work standards, and ensure team morale and productivity, providing mentorship and coaching to team members, including apprentices.
    • Address and resolve issues among crew members, applying corrective actions when necessary.
  • Planning and Scheduling:
    • Evaluate project plans and schedules, adjusting as needed to meet production goals, ensuring the field installation work package (FIWP) is complete, and all required tools and materials are available.
    • Identify scheduling conflicts and address them with other teams and contractors, translating project requirements into prioritized work plans for each crew.
    • Monitor work progress, adjusting schedules to maintain deadlines.
  • Quality Control:
    • Ensure work meets job specifications and design drawings, reviewing inspection reports, and coordinating resolutions for deficiencies identified.
  • Administration:
    • Prepare reports and documentation for the project, maintaining supervisor logs and diaries, reporting on team production, work progress, and changes.
    • Approve material requisitions, ensuring quality control reports are completed, and make recommendations for personnel actions.
    • Lead and organize teams effectively, communicate clearly, assess crew skills, coach team members to meet performance standards, resolve conflicts, and foster a cooperative work environment.
    • Plan and implement workface schedules efficiently, handle administrative duties, and use technology and time management techniques to meet project deadlines.
About You
  • You hold a Mechanical or Electrical Degree/HND/HNC, or relevant experience, and have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, familiar with various construction trades.
  • You possess professional registration, preferably Chartered or Member status, along with relevant certifications such as CILM Training or equivalent, CSCS Managers & Professionals, or CCNSG certification.
  • Bonus qualifications include Security BPSS Vetting, IOSH/NEBOSH certification, and familiarity with project construction scope and objectives.

This is an ideal position for a results-driven, safety-conscious, and experienced Project Manager who excels in leadership roles, ensuring both team efficiency and project success in a fast-paced environment.
