Senior Highways Engineer

Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a proven track record in consultancy experience of S278 in a general infrastructure background to join our Transport Engineering team.

The Role:

You will be responsible for the preparation of detailed design, feasibility studies, and scheme reports on various projects. Additionally, you will oversee project management, budgeting, producing bills of quantities, and costings.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide assurance that scheme designs comply with specifications and agreed programmes
• •Ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations and CDM requirements
• •Conduct assessments to ensure designs are environmentally friendly
•Manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and third parties•Coordinate with other team members associated with the design•Support junior team members working on projects

About You:

We are looking for an Engineer with consulting experience around the design and management of the Section 278/38 process, as well as:

• Sound knowledge of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets
• Ability to engage and conduct effective negotiations with client, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third parties
• Detailed understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• Competent in use of Civils 3D
