Automation Manager

An established biopharmaceutical manufacturer is looking for a Head of Automation to join their expanding facility on a permanent basis. This is due to the continual growth of their site.

The successful candidate will lead the site's automation strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. They will also oversee the development and maintenance of process control systems.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Site leadership and decision-making authority for Automation to develop standardise and deploy best practices across various disciplines.
• Management of the Automation and Computerised System Validation teams, providing technical and business support.
• Contribution as the Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to CAPEX and revenue forecasts supporting site operating and maintenance and capital expenditure planning.
• Development and maintenance of Automation centred best-practice standards through continuous improvement and regular review.
• Raising the profile of the automation team across the wider organisation and influencing stakeholders to utilise their expertise.
• Leadership of the site Computer System Validation Team (CSV), ensuring that validation burden is minimised.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be an experienced Automation Leader with experience working on either a PCS7 or DeltaV platform. Experience with both packages would be advantageous.

You will also need experience working within a highly regulated environment, such as Chemical or Pharmaceutical sectors. This role is predominantly site based, requiring a minimum of 4 days per week on site.
