Production Test Engineer

This 12-month contract position is based in Bolton and offers £37ph Inside IR35.

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer who has a proven track record of testing down to component level.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with an industry-leading company in the Defence and Aerospace sector.

• Provide test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor.
• Test and diagnose complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies, and circuit cards down to component level.
• Generate test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports based on higher-level requirements and information.
• Identify remedial and corrective actions.
• Support meetings with Quality and Operations to provide status updates on Test Engineering actions and investigations.

• Good understanding of measurement and test principles, and associated equipment down to component level.
• Awareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration, and test principles.
• Understanding of RF and microwave technology at subsystem level.
• Understanding of Environmental testing (including ESS).
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training.
