As a registered and authorised supplier to the NHS, Direct Medics' Mental Health Team works with Psychiatry professionals across the UK & Ireland to help them find new opportunities for career development.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to fill this Old Age Psychiatry inpatient role based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive specialist general mental health service for the old age population of the area.

This locum opportunity offers a great way to enhance your earning potential while working with one of the most professional and successful Mental Health teams in the country. We require a full-time Psychiatrist willing to work on-site 4 days per week, 9-5, from ASAP to at least June 2025.

• To assess and manage mental health disorders affecting the adult population with expertise in old age psychiatry.
• To work as part of an Inpatient Mental Health Team, providing high-quality care and contributing to the team's success.
• To maintain accurate records and adhere to clinical governance guidelines.
• To communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and their families.

• GMC registration.
• At least 1 year's experience in the assessment and management of mental health disorders affecting the adult population.
• Right to Live and Work in the UK.
• Previous experience as a Consultant in an Inpatient Mental Health Team in the UK or Ireland.
