Position Overview

The Master Data Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate customer data by working with our Master Data request queue in our system. This involves prioritizing requests, creating new customer accounts, and updating existing information across various systems, including SFDC, Veeva, and ordering portals.

The person will also ensure data cohesiveness and integrity by extracting relevant information for audit reports and supporting cross-departmental operations. They will adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming Master Data Requests
  • Manage customer service cases and follow up activities
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure data accuracy
  • Administer activities in the Master Data queue in SFDC
  • Document follow-up activities according to standard operating procedures and customer service department policy
  • Work closely with Sales Operations, Veeva, and SFDC Admin teams to maintain data integrity and cohesiveness across different systems
  • Assist in building on existing customer base through exceptional customer service and support
  • Maintain a proper database of customer accounts and contacts
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Associate degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in the English language (C1 or above per CEFR framework)
  • 2+ years' experience in master data administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong data orientation, attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Proactive mindset with excellent communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working within an IT organization and/or on IT projects
  • Technical affinity and superior technical communication skills
  • Prior experience with Salesforce and/or Veeva CRM
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize competing demands
  • Able to perform in a complex business environment
  • Experience in molecular biology, genomics, translational science, and/or personalized medicine
