Position OverviewThe Market Analyst leads the analysis of markets covered by a partner and supplies the Indirect Markets team with insightful information about target markets to shape expansion strategy and execution.
Essential Duties- Lead analysis of indirect and direct markets to enable the Indirect Markets & Expansion Teams to make key strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement analysis strategy that incorporates knowledge and expertise from all relevant parts of the organization.
- Participate and advise in creation of logical strategy for expansion of Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score and specified portfolio expansion products.
- Devise and build models to assist in evaluation of new and strategies specified new products.
- Deliver business cases that support mission of the Indirect Markets & Expansion Teams.
- Deliver analyses of information from various sources, including competitive intelligence, market research, and secondary data sources to create clear, complete, and compelling reports and presentations.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to aid prioritization of corporate strategies (new products, product expansions, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and corporate strategy peers to help create and execute research plans that are both impactful and cost-effective.
- Present research findings to stakeholders both in person and virtually.
- Collaborate and manage agency partners to ensure research is conducted effectively and on time.
- Collaborate with corporate strategy colleagues (US & International) to support market research and opportunity analysis.
- Meet assigned objectives and complete assigned projects and other work on time, to high standards and within budget.
- Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant field.
- 5-8+ years of life science business experience in competitive intelligence, market research, commercial insights, strategy, or consulting.
- 5-8+ years of experience in business analysis or business analytics.
- Financial modeling experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience creating presentations for executive audiences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Strong internet research skills.
- Fluent in English, other language skills are preferred.
- An advanced degree in a life-sciences, technical, analytical discipline, business or finance.
- Business analysis qualification.
- Familiarity with medical device or diagnostic commercial and regulatory environment.
- Expertise in creating, managing, and deploying Tableau dashboards to translate business data into actionable insights.
- Fluency or proficiency in multiple languages.
- Experience in a cross-cultural, international environment.
