Licensed Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist

The Outpatient Mental Health Therapist delivers exceptional, patient-focused care by providing clinical services in a multidisciplinary team.

• Conduct one-on-one and group psychoeducational and process groups focused on skills/resilience training and evidence-based treatment.
• Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
• Coordinate with existing outpatient therapy care teams.
• Assess environment and patient's safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient's condition.
• Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions such as suicide, homicide, falls, and elopement.
• Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
• Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
• Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work is Required
• At Least 3 Years of Therapeutic Experience is Strongly Preferred
• Psychotherapy Experience is Required
• Advanced Licensure in the State of California (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist) is Required
