Wage/Salary Range: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications

Shift Schedule: On-call 24/7; schedule based on project requirements and dispatch direction

Hours Per Day: 8–12 hours per day, based on operational requirements

Job Overview:
GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking one Service Technician to join our Valued Clients team in Grand Prairie, Alberta. This is a full-time position, ideally suited to an individual committed to excellence, safety, and delivering high-quality customer service in demanding field environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and promote excellent client relationships through clear, accurate, and professional communication

  • Take direction from the Project Manager and/or Dispatch to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently

  • Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and demobilize equipment as required for client operations

  • Use, clean, inspect, and maintain tools and equipment at worksites

  • Perform shop duties under the direction of a Shop Foreman when not in the field

  • Take responsibility for all related site functions, ensuring operational efficiency

  • Complete routine onsite housekeeping duties

  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner

  • Accurately complete and submit all required documentation and paperwork

  • Successfully complete ongoing required safety training

  • Observe all safety procedures and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations

  • Demonstrate environmental awareness and community consideration in all activities

  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and spoken)

  • Minimum 3 years of oilfield and/or construction experience

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract and minimum 3 years of driving experience

  • High School Diploma and/or Journeyman Trade ticket

  • Ability to interact with the public in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a solid work ethic

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines

  • High-level prioritization skills and ability to adapt to changing schedules

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in remote industrial environments

  • Additional safety certifications relevant to oilfield or construction sites

  • Experience working at heights and/or in confined spaces

Work Environment:

  • Primarily field-based (approximately 85%) with shop-based duties (approximately 15%)

  • On-call 24/7 and willing to work in remote locations for extended periods

  • Physically and mentally demanding work requiring lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and balancing

  • Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat

  • Potential exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and hazardous or toxic substances, requiring strict adherence to safety precautions

  • May require working at heights and/or in confined spaces

  • Close collaboration with coworkers, clients, and third-party contractors

  • Pre-access drug and alcohol testing may be required
