We are looking for a skilled Product Manager who can navigate the ecosystem’s complexities, engage with multiple stakeholders, has a strong understanding of traveler-centric approaches and platform ecosystem capabilities, and is committed to the Amadeus growth strategy of opening up our systems.
PurposeYou will manage one of the core Creation Platform modules essential to Amadeus’s business and technical transformation: marketplace enablement, which fosters ecosystem growth by linking suppliers and consumers.
As a Platform Product Manager for marketplace enablement, you will be responsible for leading the Platform Module strategy, roadmap, and execution to deliver a world-class user experience.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including functional/technical architects, engineering, design, and marketing, to ensure the marketplace enablement meets user and consumer needs and business objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of marketplace business architecture and user experience, coupled with a dedication to transforming ideas into reality.
Main Responsibilities- Define and communicate the module vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Work closely with Amadeus Business lines to share evolution, identify opportunities, and define high-level requirements based on feedback from our consumers.
- Deliver and maintain the business architecture blueprint of marketplace enablement, supporting the vision and breaking it down into manageable capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical architects to support high-level solution design.
- Propose strategic directions to management and convey them to ensure clear alignment (value/budget/prioritization).
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices. Conduct make/buy/partner analysis to support your approach.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Epic Owners, Product Owners, Architects, and Engineering) to gather, refine, and prioritize requirements, feed the execution backlog and roadmap.
- Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences.
- Lead the capability development lifecycle from concept to launch and until the capability end of life.
- Monitor capability performance and measure success using metrics to drive continuous improvement and maximize capability usage.
- Ensure the capability’s market readiness, including legal compliance, SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and cost model.
- Facilitate smooth and efficient deliveries by fostering strong, trustworthy relationships with train leaders, product owners, and architects, maintaining a well-groomed backlog, and ensuring appropriate levels of formalization.
- 5-10 years of product management experience is mandatory, along with business architect/business and functional analyst/solution management experience.
- Extensive experience in IT marketplace management.
- Be at ease with uncertainty, ability to adapt to a new and evolving context and strategy, ability to operate in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Ability to discuss architecture matters and new technology with R&D (Research and Development) architects.
- Ability to understand transversal business and functional processes, build a vision and break it into manageable pieces, considering multiple dimensions: strategy, business architecture, technical architecture.
- Platform mindset: ability to move from standard product management and apply the necessary abstraction to manage platform capabilities, which serve consumers to build or enrich products.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
