National Field Manager . Position Summary:
The National Field Manager leads the team of Key Account Managers to provide education on disease states and approved products to applicable healthcare professionals and key accounts. This role will be defined as a “Player Coach” role as this person will be responsible for management of team of Key Account Managers while also taking lead on field activity in their own designated territory. Develop and execute plans to educate applicable healthcare professionals and key accounts in the United States. Works with Key Account Managers to succeed in their position while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of the Key Account Managers to ensure appropriate implementation of company plans. Work to ensure that the team acts in compliance and with the highest ethics. Review and realign territories based on marketing research and data. Oversee the interviewing, hiring, and training of Key Account Managers. Conduct assessment of Key Account Manager’s annual employee performance. Address issues with reviewed expense reports from field team to ensure compliance. Proffer advice and recommendations to Key Account Managers on respective plans. Plan and conduct business meetings. Ensure that any team interaction with an HCP adheres to the company principles of safe use, fair balance, and is on-label and ethical. Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in fields such as life sciences, business management, and marketing, as well as in other related disciplines. Experience:
5 – 10 years experience as a field manager, with rare disease. Key accounts experience preferred. Ability to effectively interact and communicate to explain marketing plans and product features or resolve complaints. Possess the ability to develop education plans and direct the activities of field staff. Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office. Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects. A confident self-starter, who can work independently and creatively but also be a team player. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and project management skills; ability to influence at all levels. Ability to work in a highly regulated space in full compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures. Work effectively across functions as a team player, demonstrating having achieved common goals. The preferred candidate will reside within a 30 minute drive of national hub for airline travel (e.g. DFW, PHL, ORD, etc.). Given national nature of role and urgent needs to supply requests phone calls, email responses, and meetings outside of normal business hours should be expected on a regular basis (including weekends and occasional holidays). Work environment includes normal office conditions and frequent travel; up to 70% travel may be required. Core Values & Competencies:
