About the Job The
Commercial Operations Manager
will drive the commercial success of our utility‑scale solar and BESS projects. This person will lead commercial strategy for North America Energy Storage Solutions business, align the strategy with headquarter policy and backend teams.
This person will also manage all document control processes for commercial contracts, ensure documents are accurate, provide advice regarding contract negotiations, and support sales and engineering teams in managing customer contract expectations. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of legal terminology and have previous experience managing commercial contracts and teams.
This position reports to the Sales Director, or another senior management personnel that the Vice President of the Company may designate.
This is a remote position. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm Local Time. Regular evening or early morning (outside normal working hours) may be required, for example to coordinate with our global headquarters based in China, or as other business circumstances dictate.

What you’ll be doing:
Lead commercial strategy for North America Energy Storage Solutions business, aligning headquarter policy and backend teams.
Oversee Energy Storage commercial contracts and negotiations for utility‑scale battery energy storage solutions.
Lead in the development and process improvement of commercial operations.
Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Sales, Project Delivery and Service to minimize risk and liabilities during contract negotiations.
Develop commercial operations department and strategic plans to support company revenue and profit growth.
Act as a key stakeholder in subcontract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify project risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
Oversee and manage change orders, ensuring accurate documentation, impact assessment, and effective implementation.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and company policies across assigned projects.
Support internal Legal team in document preparation, including exhibits and amendments.
Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
Meet with customers to discuss both legal and business matters.
Provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contract generation.
Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
Create, prepare, review and edit all contracts.
Provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities.
Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes; and
All other projects and assignments, as assigned by Management.
Your Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial operations management of complex commercial projects.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the renewable energy industry or in similar heavy manufacturing environments.
Demonstrates an understanding of legal terminology related to commercial contracts.
Previous experience working with contract regulations and related laws is strongly preferred.
Experience with EPC work considered a plus.
Possesses superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Capable of professionally managing confidential information.
Enthusiasm for the renewable energy industry.
