Summary:
This role focuses on proactively selling the company’s solutions (SaaS, Services & Managed Services) to qualified prospects, with the goal of expanding our customer base and increasing revenue through strategic sales efforts.
Job Description:
Prospecting : Lead efforts to identify and engage potential clients through targeted outreach, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events
Sales Strategy Development : Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and secure multimodal, multiservice business opportunities
Lead Generation : Proactively generate leads through various channels, including cold outreach, LinkedIn, industry trade shows, networking events, and referrals
Client Engagement : Conduct in-depth research to understand prospective clients’ needs and tailor sales approaches to meet their specific requirements
Value Proposition Presentation : Present the company’s value proposition effectively, showcasing our products and services through compelling presentations and demonstrations
Relationship Building : Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives, to understand their business challenges and position the company as their solution provider
Negotiation and Closing : Lead negotiations with potential clients, securing mutually beneficial agreements that align with the company’s strategic goals
Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (operations, pricing, account management) to ensure seamless transitions from prospecting to client onboarding
Salesforce Management : Utilize Salesforce to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, and report on sales activities and forecasts
Market Intelligence : Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market demands to adapt strategies and identify new business opportunities
Requirements:
Proven track record in sales and business development, with a focus on Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain technology solutions and/or services
Experience working with companies in markets such as food/beverage, manufacturing, consumer goods, or wholesale/distribution is preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation industry (TL, LTL and/or Parcel)
At least 3 years of Direct Sales and/or Business Development experience
