Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience).

About the Role:
AWE is recruiting for a Bulk Waste Service Delivery Manager to join the Radiochemistry Group.
This new role will support the bulk waste characterisation programmes at AWE, as defined in Schedule 23 of the Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR16). The team's remit covers construction and demolition activities across the Aldermaston and Burghfield sites. This outward-facing role requires stakeholder engagement to develop an order book and schedule of work. With a high volume of work and compressed timescales, coordination of the delivery team is essential to deliver tasks efficiently.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:
- Delivering high-profile projects/programmes of work.
- Coordinating and influencing technical delivery services, including leading regular meetings with the team and customers.
- Strong stakeholder and demand management skills, with confidence engaging at senior level.
- Excellent communication, including strong presentation skills.
- Accountable for developing effective relationships with customers.
- Understanding business drivers and aligning service provision accordingly.
- Prioritising and working to challenging timescales, individually and as part of a team.
- Providing planning and scheduling expertise to support delivery teams with diverse skills.
- Development, integration, and analysis of project plans.
- Proficiency in best practices of planning processes and tools like Microsoft Project.
- Analytical approach and interpreting data, charts, and spreadsheets to derive performance indicators.
- Familiarity with Office 365 skills, such as Office, Teams, Planner, SharePoint, Forms.
- Maintaining high personal standards in teamwork, environment, safety, health, security, and quality.

- Proven track record of building strong business relationships with stakeholders.
- Background in enabling teams to deliver, confidently managing stakeholder expectations.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and organised individual with attention to detail.
- Holistic perspective on the process as a whole/system and identifying efficiencies.
- Long-term vision and ability to implement improvements to the characterisation service.
- Commercial/contract experience/management- contractor management.
You'll need to be able to work calmly in a changing environment, manage your workload, and have initiative, enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to work to tight deadlines.
