Network Engineer

Contract Network Engineer (3-6 Months) - Marlow (Hybrid)

Duration: 3-6 months Location: Marlow, Buckinghamshire (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site per week) Start Date: ASAP Day Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 3-6 month contract with a leading company based in Marlow. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge network security and infrastructure projects, including Wi-Fi system replacements, firewall security enhancements, and network migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Wi-Fi System Replacement: Deploy and maintain Aruba APs and controllers across multiple sites. Network Security Implementation: Work with Palo Alto firewalls, implement Secure Web Proxy, DLP, MFA, and posture checking solutions. Switch & Router Management: Replace Cisco Catalyst 9300 switches with Aruba alternatives and manage existing Cisco and Aruba network infrastructure. MPLS Migration: Transition from a Cisco MPLS ring to a Direct Internet Access model, involving firewall deployment and network re-engineering. Firewall Administration: Implement and assess firewall rules, conforming to change management processes and working closely with the Managed Security Operations Centre.Requirements:

Strong experience in Wi-Fi deployments (Aruba & Cisco). Deep understanding of firewall security (Palo Alto preferred). Experience with Cisco Catalyst switches and Aruba network infrastructure. Background in network migrations, including MPLS to DIA transitions.
