Our systems are used to provide our customers with insights into the online behaviour of opted-in market research participants. User experience is the key to success and these systems must perform well. The Team Lead for the Server Capture Team will work alongside the Tech Lead to develop improve and maintain these systems and the software they run with the support of the Platform & Services Engineering Manager and other colleagues.

The team lead will be responsible for managing the staff within the team workload management and planning. They will mentor staff and help them grow in their roles. The data capture systems are made up of a combination of open source and bespoke software running on the Linux platform. There is heavy use of automation such as Puppet and Terraform to deliver these capabilities. Supporting systems are developed using PHP/Laravel and JS/TS with Angular. The team lead will be required to contribute to this software to provide a best-in-class experience for our customers and users. We employ modern development practices in our workflow using Git alongside Cl/CD unit testing and open-source coding standards. Working with the Tech Lead and Engineering Manager to plan work streams

Understanding requirements and acceptance criteria

Interpreting software development specifications and design documents

Writing application code and tests that conform to standards

Feeding into the design process on recommended architecture

Working alongside engineering testing user experience and other roles

Adhering to company policies and procedures with respect to security quality and health and safety.

PHP for Laravel

JS/TS for Angular or Vue.js
