At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Operations & Intake Coordinator for Canada, you'll play a key part in bringing our innovative therapy to patients across the country—at a pivotal time of growth in the market.
This role is based in our Montreal office. As the sole dedicated coordinator supporting Canada, you will operate with a high degree of independence and ownership. You will serve as the central operational point of contact for patient onboarding, reimbursement coordination, and cross-functional case management. With British Columbia recently becoming the first province to approve therapy initiation, this is a unique opportunity to help shape and scale operations in a growing market—making a tangible difference for patients and providers across the country.
You will be trusted to manage cases end-to-end, ask the right questions at the right time, and pivot seamlessly between processes. This role requires emotional resilience, strong organizational discipline, and the confidence to communicate with patients, providers, and internal stakeholders in sensitive and sometimes high-pressure situations.
What You'll Do
As Canada Operations & Intake Coordinator, you will serve as the operational backbone for patient onboarding and reimbursement activities:
Receive and process prescription orders and associated documentation with precision and urgency
Engage directly with patients to explain therapy, outline next steps, and guide them through the onboarding and reimbursement journey
Coordinate closely with Device Support Specialists (DSS), healthcare providers, and treatment sites to ensure timely therapy initiation
Manage MRI receipt and processing as required
Accurately document all patient-specific activities and communications within Novocure systems
Oversee reimbursement and cash collection activities in coordination with Accounts Receivable and regional payers
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Novocure Canada Inc. and payer-related inquiries
Handle incoming calls related to treatment starts and invoice questions with professionalism and empathy
Review account details, assess case status, and clearly communicate next steps to all stakeholders
Collaborate cross-functionally with U.S.-based and global colleagues to align on priorities, deliverables, and urgent requests
Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with Novocure Quality System requirements and SOX controls
Support special projects and evolving operational priorities as the Canadian market expands
About You
Minimum Requirement:
Business qualification preferred and a minimum of five years' experience in a similar operations, intake, case management, medical office, insurance, or healthcare coordination role
Strong IT proficiency, including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and the ability to quickly navigate systems
Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written), as this role supports patients and providers across Canada
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid Montreal-based role (in-office presence required)
Emotional intelligence and resilience to support patients facing serious illness, including managing sensitive conversations and occasionally delivering difficult information
These additional qualifications are preferred:
Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Experience securing private insurance coverage or managing reimbursement cases end-to-end
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes and stakeholders simultaneously
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to proactively ask questions and escalate appropriately
Structured, detail-oriented working style with the ability to pivot between evolving priorities in a fast-growing environment
Highly professional and ethical behavior aligned with Novocure's patient-forward values
