Job Overview:
The Business Development Analyst will be a key member of the M&A Team and will contribute directly to 123Dentist's acquisition growth. The Analyst will provide ongoing support to the Business Development and Corporate Development teams throughout the acquisition cycle. The focus for the role will be to help accelerate lead generation, improve CRM execution, and increase qualified deal flow.
This is an ideal role for someone who is a self-starter, highly organized and process oriented, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys creative problem-solving.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead Generation
Build and maintain list of independent and group dental practices across Canada, segregated by key acquisition criteria
Research target markets, demographics, practice ownership and practice profiles to provide comprehensive insight to the Business Development team
Track and report on outreach activity, response rates, and lead source effectiveness
Assist in executing multi-channel outreach campaigns
Build awareness in the market and develop strategies to remain top-of-mind with key industry stakeholders
Support team with scheduling, calendar management, and meeting coordination as needed
CRM Management
Serve as the CRM administrator and "owner" of data quality across the M&A Team
Ensure all prospect interactions, meeting notes, and deal stages are accurately logged in the CRM
Update and maintain contact records, practice details, and pipeline stages in real-time
Conduct weekly CRM audits to identify missing data, stalled opportunities, and follow-up gaps
Report weekly activity to senior leadership (pipeline health, lead sources, conversion metrics, rep activity)
Train Business Development team members on CRM best practices and processes
Implement and refine CRM workflows to automate administrative tasks
Conference & Event Support
In collaboration with the Business Development and Event teams, create list and budget for conferences and events that the team will attend
Upload and organize conference and event leads
Track conversion from conferences and events, and make recommendations to senior leadership
Coordinate post-event follow-up
Education, Credentials, Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field) or equivalent work experience
3+ years in high-volume Business Development, Sales Operations, Lead Generation or Healthcare support role
Healthcare, dental, or M&A industry experience a plus but not required
Required Skills & Abilities:
Extremely organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Process-oriented: You see broken processes and instinctively want to fix them
Tech-savvy: Comfortable learning new software and automating repetitive tasks
Strong written and verbal communication: Can craft compelling outreach messages and speak confidently with practice owners
Data-driven: Comfortable with spreadsheets, reporting, and tracking metrics
Proactive and self-directed: Can work independently with minimal supervision
Team player: Willing to do what it takes to help the team hit aggressive targets
Experience with CRM systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with sales engagement tools
