In this role, you'll contribute to technical and feasibility studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, quality surveillance, commissioning and asset management for some of the most significant nuclear projects in the country. Our Nuclear division is operating at an exciting time as nuclear power and new technology solutions are advancing globally, with Canada leading the way in nuclear refurbishments, new builds, major capital project portfolios and a deep, established nuclear supply chain.
Your Impact Starts Here – Step into a leadership role where your expertise shapes Canada's most complex energy and heavy industrial projects. As Senior Project Manager / Project Director, you bring proven project management experience in nuclear energy, strong governance skills, and a talent for fostering new business opportunities. Reporting to the Vice President of Nuclear, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our ERI nuclear portfolio and advancing client success.
This role can be based out of one of our Ontario offices, with project-related travel to Tiverton, Toronto, Pickering, Oshawa (Ontario) and Saint John (New Brunswick), as required.
Your Impact
- Lead the planning and execution of multi-phase, complex nuclear projects across Canada, from early definition through to close-out.
- Develop and implement robust Project Management Plans, including risk, safety, quality, and communication strategies aligned with client and regulatory expectations.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and governance structures to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and to the highest standards of safety and performance.
- Mentor and guide engineering managers and multidisciplinary project teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Engage directly with clients and key stakeholders to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Identify, pursue, and support new business opportunities that grow our ERI nuclear portfolio and bring innovative solutions to market.
- Champion a strong safety culture and quality focus on both office and site-based activities, ensuring compliance with nuclear and industrial standards.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 15–20+ years of progressive project management experience in the nuclear sector, including leadership of large, complex or multi-phase programs.
- Proven success managing EPCM projects and consistently delivering on time, on budget, and in line with rigorous safety and quality requirements.
- Engineering degree (P.Eng. designation preferred) or technical diploma; PMP or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.
- Deep expertise in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement within nuclear, energy, or heavy industrial environments.
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools (such as scheduling, cost control and reporting systems); bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- A collaborative, inclusive leader who thrives in complex, multidisciplinary environments and enjoys building strong, trust-based relationships with clients and partners.
- Comfortable working in both office and site environments, with the ability and willingness to travel regularly to project sites such as Tiverton, Pickering, Oshawa, Toronto and Saint John, as project needs require.
- Required: Able to meet and maintain Security Clearance requirements to work on nuclear projects in Canada.
